I am researching  my husband's family Hardiment.  Annie M Hardiment married Joseph Smidtz known and eventually officially changed to Smith.  He was from Berlin, Germany and was a merchant seaman.  They eventually married 1906 and had 18 children one of whom was Annie Maud SMITH who was born before their marriage in 1901.  They lost many, but they also had a set of triplets, that were photographed by the Hull Daily Mail heading 'First Triplets in the North'.  We dont know how long these babies lasted but they were presented with a guinea by the mayor/mayoress supposedly from the then monarch.
So I am looking for the triplets and Annie's parents the Hardiments who apparently ran a boarding house in the Stoneferry area of Hull.  Hardiment is the name, Annie Hardiment was possibly born about 1880 but whether born in Hull remains to be discovered.  It is thought she came from Norfolk.
I found the website on a search by chance while looking for family.

Ed:  Does anyone remember anything about the HARDIMENT Triplets?
If so please let us know.
