I have studied the Great War for many years. Over the past few years I have concentrated on the Ypres Salient which was probably the worst place on the whole front.  I decided  to begin a website as a tribute to all the men who served on the salient.  It also seemed that many people wanted help on Great War matters. My website grew from this.  I aim to visit and take photographs of all the Ypres Salient cemeteries and also add information which may help others.  I also decided on writing a book on 9th (Service) Battalion The Sherwood Foresters.  A number of Lincs men served with the 9th.  They also trained at Belton before going to Gallipoli. I am therefore in the process of taking photos of the graves of all 9th Bn as well.
I am always happy to help people and take photos of graves whilst visiting the area.Great War Ypres Salient - Website address:

Ed:  Thanks for that contribution Steve.  The website is very good and informative also easy to navigate.  Take a look I'm sure you will find it useful if you are researching the GREAT WAR.
