Kate:  Thanks very much for this great photo Christine.  Does anyone else have a photo of VE DAY?  This was the day (8th May 1945) which commemorates Victory in Europe.  Perhaps you have a photo of a street party or the crowds somewhere that moment in time.  If so, send it in to have it on the Forum.  Perhaps you have a photo of a Street Group or Street Party on a different occasion.  If so, we would like to see it and if appropriate add it to the website.

Feel sure the Southwell mentioned would be "Edward" and the Wiles "Peter" hope this helps.

Dear Kate checking with family members it would seem that I may well have been on this VE Fancy Dress photo in the middle row? Could it be that Peter Wiles [Check shirt large hat no face showing] was not? Perhaps Christine can help to confirm? We are however unable to identify the other young girl sitting next to Pamela Wyres.
