Ken Ford again!
Hare`s started at 29 St.Mary`s Street in the 1870s when they took over the `Paper Hanger And Decorator`s business of John Mann. They expanded into picture frame makers, carvers and gilders and continued into the 1970s when they closed down and R & S Office Supplies took over the premises. It must have been a well run business to have lasted 100 years.
Are there any other Stamford firms that traded for a century. Blackstones? Bowman the builders?
