Hi to anyone who can help. I am doing a bit of family history for my mum and 25 Lambeth Walk Stamford is cited as my grandfather's address at the time of his marriage to my grandma in October 1950. Is anyone able to confirm whether the houses that stand on that land now were those that were there in 1950? I'm curious because my grandfather was Irish and my grandma from Nottingham, so I have no idea how he came to be there. His profession is cited as 'Labourer in engineering works'.

I really need a bit more information as I lived there for twenty years and still know a lot of people alive today who still could answer questions on Lambeth Walk. I think I am right in thinking Hicks's lived at 25. come back on Ancestor Gateway with a bit more information and I will see what I can trace for you
