When I was a teenager, Chapmans was one of the only shops in this area to buy your next "outfit". It was at the bottom end of High Street. There were a couple of windows displaying what they had available. As I was an extremely thin person, I could never get anything small enough to fit me. I think I was born into the wrong era as nowadays, I would have found loads of clothes to suit and would have been in the height of fashion. As it was, clothes were a bit of a problem. Grace Large was one of the assistants in Chapmans.
