About 1957 a teacher from the Fane School, a Miss Curtis (later Mrs Bradshaw) took a group of her pupils to St. Leonards Priory for a bit of ghost watching, later it was reported in local papers that indeed, ghosts were seen, with quotes from the girls.
I would be interested if there are any of them are on line and what their views are on it.
I do believe Betty Bradshaw was in town recently from her home in Australia
Kate: Anyone out there who went on the ghost watch?

Hey Sid 1957 ghosts St Leonards Priory? I heard it was some local boys who acted as the ghosts when Mrs Bradshaw [nee Curtis] visited with the girls. Just wonder who those boys were? Anyway Sid Happy New Year to you.

I remember the talk of ghosts at the Priory, I went down one evening with some friends to see for ourselves! We didn't see any ghosts but did frighten each other as it was cold, dark and creepy - I guess the 'ghosts' had taken a break after all the publicity! Happy New Year lads!
