Here is a good link that lists old maps of Stamford and the surrounding areas. Most date back to the late 19th century.
www.old-maps.co.uk.
Found this a good place to look for old family addresses that no longer exist.
Kate:  Thanks for that link Paul.  Had a quick browse of the Stamford ones very interesting.  A friend mentioned the forge that used to be down Bath Row - wonder if anyone remembers this?  Also I see we had "Smallpox Huts" to the north of the town.  I will have to get back to this map and print myself a copy.  Also this will be very useful on the Family History section for people researching the history of other places relative to their ancestors.  Thanks again.  Anyone else spot anything interesting on the Stamford map?  Seems there was lots more "space" round Stamford then.
