They were in the RAF and used to play locally, they were all good lads and got their name from I think V bombers that used to fly or supposed to, under the radar.

They had one top ten single - Good News Week - which reached number 5 in 1965. I remember it well! It was a mild protest song, which added to the minor sensation of some of them serving at RAF Wittering. There was some controversy over whether the RAF would let them buy themselves out. The song was written by Jonathan Kingwho saw them playing at Cambridge Corn Exchange when he was an undergraduate.
